Our story
Valle Escondido was born in 1998 through Néstor de Luca, an agricultural engineer who has devoted his life to fruit growing. It was the unique climate and privileged land of San Juan — a province at the foot of the Andes, in the heart of the Cuyo region — that revealed to him the enormous potential of this region to grow grapes of exceptional quality.
San Juan brings together conditions found nowhere else: more than 320 days of sunshine a year, deep alluvial soils, little rain during harvest, and pure Andean meltwater for irrigation. An unrepeatable combination that translates directly into the quality of every product.
Today, more than 25 years on, Néstor and his children continue the path he set out, with the same conviction and the same standard of quality. A family business where every decision, every vineyard and every box that leaves San Juan for the world carries the mark of those who know this land intimately.

From sun to raisin
Every Valle Escondido raisin is the result of a natural, patient process that takes no shortcuts. It all begins in the vineyard, under the unrelenting San Juan sun, where the grapes ripen slowly, concentrating natural sugars and flavor in every single berry.
When the moment is right, the harvest is done by hand. The grapes are laid out under the sun, where the dry climate, the Andean winds and more than 320 days of solar radiation do what no machine can replicate: drying them naturally — with no preservatives or additives — preserving all of their color, sweetness and nutritional properties.
What reaches our facilities is already exceptional. Even so, every raisin goes through a rigorous process of sorting, cleaning and grading — because at Valle Escondido, quality is not a slogan; it is a decision made at every stage.
The result is a premium raisin, with traceable origin, produced in one of the most privileged regions in the world — ready for the most demanding markets on the planet.
